The Eyes Wide Open National Guard Exhibit was on display in the Sanctuary of First Congregational Church during local events marking the third anniversary of occupation in Iraq. It was a grim reminder of the human cost of war in Iraq, both American and Iraqi. It was opened with an event entitled “The War in Iraq : The War at Home.” While the Bush administration is fighting wars for oil in foreign lands, those in need here at home continue to suffer as social services continue to be cut and underfunded.
